CARING FOR THE UNHOUSED

Hope Squad Maine

First Light Compassionate Ministries partners with Hope Squad Maine, a dedicated group of volunteers who operate a mobile outreach that provides love, compassion and resources to the 250 of our unhoused brothers and sisters living on the streets of Portland. Pastor Zahira is with the outreach team on Fridays. IN addition, First Light Church provides the necessary space for storing clothing, blankets, and other essentials as well as parking for the Hope Squad Ambulance.

  How to get involved.

Donate: We rely on your donations for all we do. Please consider a regular small monetary donation as part of your weekly offering.

Serve: We could always use extra hands and feet at the clothing closet
especially, for set up and clean up for events, and assisting visitors in finding items they need.

Pray: Your prayers will strengthen us in bringing help and hope to the community.
